BMM/BMS Entrance Test 2018 at St Xaviers College Mumbai

 St. Xavier’s College, an Autonomous College under the University of Mumbai, invites applications for Entrance Test and admission to the Three Year Degree Courses in Bachelor in Mass Media (B.M.M.) and Bachelor in Management Studies (B.M.S.) for the Academic Year 2018-2019.

The entrance test will  be conducted today & tomorrow at ST. XAVIER’S COLLEGE - AUTONOMOUS, MUMBAI – 400001 ONLY. 
  
Schedule of the Entrance Test

B.M.M.: On Friday, June 1st 2018, 2 pm to 4 pm (IST)   
B.M.S.: On Saturday, June 2nd 2018, 2 pm to 4 pm (IST)
  • Reporting time: 1.00 p.m. at St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Mumbai.
  • The Schedule will remain unaltered even if the above dates are declared Public Holidays.
  • The Test Duration: 1 hour 45 minutes.

All Candidates who are appearing for the test should remember to carry their attested Admit Card to the Examination hall. If any candidate has still not received their Admit card by 30th May, they can approach the college office or Helpdesk on the day of the entrance test and can obtain the admit card on the spot. So, do not give up hope. (to avail of this facility please ensure you carry one passport size photograph and also your Aadhaar Card/Junior College ID Card).

Candidates may also be required to carry other important documents to the examination hall, for details please visit the website and ensure that you haven't missed out anything important.

Result Announcement of BMS/BMM 2018 Entrance Test
  1. The Results of the Entrance Test will be announced through the College website.
  2. Category-wise Final Merit List will be announced through the College website.

Admissions Procedure to the BMM / BMS Courses

  1. Admissions are based on Merit lists which are time bound.
  2. If a candidate in the first Merit list fails to complete the admission process within the stipulated date and time as mentioned on the notifications, their candidature stands lapsed. The candidates in the Second and Subsequent merit lists will be offered admission.
  3. Candidates who accept the offer of admission shall pay the necessary fees.
  4. Fees once paid will not be refunded

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Mumbai University 2018

The aspirants for admission to colleges affiliated to Mumbai University will need to check their eligibility criteria before they fill the application form for the 2018 online admissions. Mumbai University is one of the largest Universities in India with over 749 colleges that are affiliated to it.
  
One of the basic eligibility criteria for the admissions to Mumbai University is for the aspirant to have cleared 12th standard in science, arts or commerce stream from any board. However, the specific eligibility criteria or requirement will vary and may be different from course to course and colleges may have their own specific requirements.

All admissions will be based on the Merit List released by the Mumbai University by the end of June 2018. Aspirants with marks/ grades or percentage equal to or more than the cutoff declared in the Merit List by the Mumbai University will be eligible and their names will feature on it.

The Eligibility Criteria For Various Courses 2018:
  • UG courses in Science stream requires an applicant to clear class 12th in science stream i.e Medical or Non-medical as per chosen course.
  • UG courses in Commerce requires an applicant to clear 12th class with accounts and maths as the compulsory subjects.
  • UG courses in Arts stream requires an applicant to clear 12th class in any discipline.

Mission Admission in Mumbai

The 12th board exams results are out! HSC board declared the results yesterday and one can visit the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE)'s official website mahresult.nic.in to view their results. 

Hearty congratulations to all the students who cleared this milestone with flying colors! So, what's next? Getting admission to graduate courses and making the right career choices can be a difficult and a very confusing task for students straight after high school. Let us try to make things simpler for you by providing the information for admissions to Mumbai University colleges and their procedures right here.

For a start, Mumbai University has started its online admission procedure from today, May 31st 2018 and will make available the sale of forms till 9th June. The details of the procedure is as given below:
  1. Pre-Admission Mumbai University online Enrolment Schedule - Forms Sale | 31st May - 9th June 2018
  2. Submission of Pre-admission online forms - June 1 - 11th June | 
    • Submission of admission form with printed copy of pre-admission forms 7th June - 12th June till 12pm. (In-house admission against minority quota too).
    • 1st merit list - 12th June: 5pm
    • Verification of Documents and payment of fees - 13th June - 15th June till 4:30 pm
    • 2nd Merit List - 15th June : 5pm
    • Payment of fees - 18th June - 20th June 4:30 pm
    • 3rd Merit list - 20th June
    • Payment of fees 21st June - 25th june till 5pm
Online Enrolment Procedure:
  • Open Mumbai Unversity Site mum.digitaluniversity.ac and click on Mumbai University Pre-Admission Online Registeration 2018-19.
  • Provide basic registration information and register.
  • Receive the username & password on email ID and phone.
  • Verify registration and change password.
  • Login and fill form
  • Upload photo and signature, complete profile details, reservation and educational details.
  • Print kit and enter confirmation code in system.
  • Select course from list of first-year course available
  • Select affiliated colleges that run selected courses 
  • Select required documents to be attached with application
  • Take printout of form, attach required documents
  • Purchase prospectus of colleges and submit application form and required documents in colleges.
