Jaya Bachchan: Guddi of Bollywood

Jaya Bachchan is a one of the greatest actress the Indian cinema has ever seen. She has been my all time favourite actress since my childhood. I loved her girlish and innocent looks and she is extremely charming. She could do any kind of role with ease and sensitivity and evoke emotions at any level. She could make you laugh or cry with ease! She even played romantic roles so well that along with the hero of the film, most of the audience also fell in love with her.Most of her movies were box office hits. Some of her best movies to be remembered are: Guddi,Parichay, Sholay,Mili,Anamika,Abhimaan,Naukar,Silsila,Khamoshi,Kora Kagaz,Zanzeer.... the list is endless. And then Amitabh Bachchan broke my heart by sweeping away hers. She got married to him and opted out of films. Her absence created a void in Indian Cinema. Many actresses came and went but none could match her talent and versatility. And then her kids grew up and she decided to make a comeback. And what a comeback it has been. Hazaar Chaurasia ki ma, Fiza, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam.......We really need her to continue acting.Nobody will be able to fit into her shoes. I wish theactresses of this generation learn something from her. A Truly Great Actress.
